Amboseli National Park

Amboseli National Park

Where Giants Walk Beneath Kilimanjaro

Set in southern Kenya near the Tanzania border, Amboseli National Park is one of Africa’s most iconic safari destinations. Known for its vast open plains, seasonal wetlands, and breathtaking views of snow-capped Mount Kilimanjaro, Amboseli offers one of the most photogenic landscapes in East Africa.

Despite being relatively compact (about 392 km²), the park delivers exceptional wildlife density and unforgettable Big Five encounters — especially elephants.

Landscape & Atmosphere

Amboseli’s scenery is dramatic and diverse:

  • Endless dusty plains

  • Acacia woodlands

  • Seasonal swamps fed by underground streams from Kilimanjaro

  • Dry lakebed of Lake Amboseli

  • Panoramic views of Africa’s highest mountain

During sunrise and sunset, the light turns golden, with elephants walking across the plains beneath Kilimanjaro — a truly classic African safari scene.
