Day 1: Arrival & Transfer to Arusha
Touch down at Kilimanjaro International Airport, where a TrailTrek Africa guide will meet you and transfer you to your comfortable lodge in Arusha. This afternoon is free to relax, settle in, or explore nearby surroundings at your leisure. Enjoy dinner and a restful night as you prepare for an incredible journey through East Africa’s iconic wildlife landscapes.

Day 2 — Ngorongoro Crater Full‑Day Wildlife Safari
After an early breakfast, depart for the famed Ngorongoro Conservation Area – one of Africa’s richest wildlife ecosystems. Descend into the crater floor for a full‑day game drive surrounded by dramatic crater walls. Expect extraordinary wildlife sightings including lions, elephants, buffalo, zebras, wildebeest, hyenas, and perhaps elusive rhinos.
The crater’s central lake and watering holes attract large concentrations of animals, offering superb photographic moments throughout the day. After sunset, return to your highland lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 3 — Ndutu & Serengeti Plains

Enjoy game drives as you explore open grasslands and rolling plains, where thousands of wildebeest and zebra congregate alongside predators drawn to newborn calves.
Later in the day, continue deeper into the heart of the Serengeti National Park, arriving at your camp or lodge in time for dinner.

Day 4 — Great Migration Game Drives + Flight to Kigali
Rise early for a final morning drive to witness the migration pulse through the plains — depending on the season, you might see river crossings or predator activity at close quarters. After a memorable half‑day wildlife experience, return to the airstrip for your scheduled flight back to Kilimanjaro International Airport, from where you connect onward to Kigali, Rwanda.
Upon landing in Kigali, your Rwandan guide will meet you and transfer you to your hotel in the capital. Rest and enjoy dinner in preparation for your gorilla adventure.

Day 5 — Kigali City Tour & Volcanoes National Park Transfer

Day 6 — Mountain Gorilla Trekking in Volcanoes National Park
Start early with a hearty breakfast and drive to the park headquarters for your gorilla trekking briefing. The encounter can take from a couple of hours to most of the morning, depending on gorilla locations.
